Hyalite Dam Update

Hyalite Dam Early Warning System Update

At their September 30th, 2008 meeting, Gallatin Co. Commissioners will sign an "Award Letter" from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  This letter signifies acceptance of a $267,206 grant to Gallatin Co. for construction and implementation of an early warning system on Hyalite Dam. This grant is the result of a long, grass-roots effort by residents of our fire district and many others, and we couldn't be happier!  We will post further information regarding construction etc. here on our web site as information becomes available.  Many thanks to all those who helped with this very important effort!
