Sourdough Fire -

These fire engines are heavy duty, all wheel drive, diesels, with automatic transmissions and have 1,700 gallon water tanks. They pump 1,250 gallons per minute, utilizing a Compressed Air Foam (CAFs) system. The trucks have approximately 200 cubic feet of storage space for fire fighting, emergency medical, and rescue equipment. The trucks seat 5 fire fighters in an enclosed cab.

Engine 7 and engine 7-1 are equipped with a front Turret (water cannon) that can be deployed from inside the cab. The Servo controlled Turret is a power actuated foam/water turret mounted on the vehicle's bumper. All Turret functions are controlled by the Joystick which is located inside the cab. The Turret is capable of discharging water or CAF solution at flow rates up to 1200 GPM. A Microprocessor based technology automatically positions the turret to match the operator’s hand movements.
